OpenStudy (rissyroo118):

Why is aerobic respiration more beneficial than anaerobic respiration? (Points : 2) Aerobic respiration can take place with and without oxygen present, but anaerobic respiration can only take place in the absences of oxygen Aerobic respiration only takes place in the presence of oxygen, therefore it can fully breakdown glucose and produce much more ATP than anaerobic respiration. Aerobic respiration occurs in plant and animals cells whereas anaerobic respiration only occurs in plant cells

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is B. (: It is not A because aerobic respiration requires oxygen. It is not C because anaerobic respiration occurs in us as well (think about running a long race and your legs start to hurt due to the lactic acid build up from anaerobic respiration).
