i need help?! Let f(x) = x + 8 and g(x) = x2 - 6x - 7. Find f(g(2))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well we know that g(2) = (2)^2-6(2)-7. Therefore if you input 2 into the g(x) function you will get -15. Thus g(2) = -15 , then we apply -15 to the f function .. f(-15)=-15+8.. which equals -7. Thus f(g(2)) = -7.
