Help please XD Identity and describe two methods of studying genes.

My moms even been trying to help me with this and we can't think of or find anything online :( and my textbook link is broken. >.< blahhhhh

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Well I found an article about how to study genes if it helps. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK26818/

The first that pops in my head is a karyotype, type that in on google so you can see a picture but it's like an X-ray of your chromosomes it helps in identifying chromosomal abnormalities such as Down's syndrome and turners syndrome The second can be a Punnett square? It's a box where you cross reference genes for a certain trait with your parents. It tells you the risk two people have of having a child with a genetic disorder or even just eye color.

Thank you!!! ^

eek.... theres another question about them. I don't even get what it's asking. it says: Tell why these methods alone are insufficient for identifying every human gene

What's it asking?... :/ Blahhh biology is sooooo confusing.
