\(\sf \Large \color{red}{Q~ \#1~ - ~Can~ I~ delete~ my~ OpenStudy ~account?}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{A ~\#1~-}\) Sorry, but no. Deleting your OpenStudy account can mess up some things in the system, such as other user's SmartScore, questions answered, medals received, fans, etc. One way you can 'disable' your account is to turn off your notifications sent to your email through the settings, then change you password to random letters, such as 'ifgbweufovh'. Then you can log out and you most likely won't be able to access your account. You can also ask a mod to permanently suspend your OpenStudy account to 'disable' it. \(\sf \Large \color{red}{Q~ \#2~-~ The~post~button~keeps~on~disappearing.}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{~What~do~I~do?}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{A ~\#2~-}\) There is a simple solution to solve this besides refreshing the page and then losing everything you have typed. Just click Tab then Enter (Tab+Enter). Solution Solved! \(\sf \Large \color{red}{Q~\#3~-~How~do~I~get~more~fans/fan~testimonials?}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{A ~\#3~-}\) You can get more fans and testimonials by helping users, interact with people in the chats, be polite and nice, and remember to be awesome! (@YanaSidlinskiy way of getting fans ;D ) Users will fan you and give you testimonials if you help them, be nice, or just by interacting with people! Their testimonials will be about how helping, kind, and funny you are just by doing that! \(\sf \Large \color{red}{Q~\#4~-~Can~I~change~my~username?}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{A ~\#4~-}\) Same as deleting your account. It can mess up the system, but you can make a new account and start over with the username you want :) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{Q~\#5~-~How~do~I~become~a~mod/ambassador?}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{A ~\#5~-}\) You can become a mod if you are 18 or older, you are and act mature, have a good abuse record (no suspensions, warnings, etc.), you are on the site for a fair amount of time, get along with other users (such as being calm when dealing with a situation), be an expert at some field, and if you reach these requirements, and the site is looking for new mods, you might just be chosen! You can become an Ambassador if you follow the rules of the CoC, welcome and reach out to new users and show them how to use OpenStudy (also explaining the CoC), and also to be polite to other users in different situations. Don't forget you must be 13 or older! Also remember asking to become a mod/ambassador decreases your chances of becoming one yourself! \(\sf \Large \color{red}{Q~\#6~-~How~do~I~raise~my~SmartScore~(SS)?}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{A ~\#6~-}\) You can raise your SmartScore in many different was, such as answering questions, getting fans/fan testimonials, getting medals for helping a user, and by asking questions and getting medals for them! Anymore questions? Ask below!
Edit answer no.6, you can also raise your SS by `INVITING AS MANY USERS ON OS`
Oopsie. Forgot about that, haha
EDIT..it
\(\sf \Large \color{red}{Edit~To~Q~\#6~-}\) You can also raise your SmartScore by inviting users to OpenStudy :)
woohhooo....!!!!!!
I wish we can edit comments :(
great !!
It would make my life a bit easier ;D
@sammixboo you can also add COMPLAINTS/SUGGESTION TO OS Something like this
:)
we should make a FAQ link right next to the code of conduct link...what say guys?
greatooo !! ^^^^^
I think so! Maybe like a FAQ blog to where we can keep on adding to it
`1 LIKE FROM MY SIDE`
xD
@shrutipande9 Exactly ..... like this...see on the top http://webyab.hostoi.com/search.html
Infinity + likes from ma side.
lol
exactly my friend!!!
For those of you who don't know, I am already making a FAQ...
Great ! Can't wait to see it Stephen
Good Job @sammixboo I think @StudyGurl14 made something similar to it a while ago xD
@sammixboo For number 1 you should have used mine and Comps tutorial. @Compassionate Remember to add that in.
\(\sf \Large \color{red}{Q~\#7~-~Why~is~there~black~diamonds~~with}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{question~marks~in~my~thread?}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{A~\#7~-}\) This is just some problem OpenStudy has had for a little while. This usually happens when you copy something and then paste it here on OpenStudy, and there is a symbol, quotation marks, and sometimes dashes in the text you copied. A solution to solve this is to refresh after you have posted what you want. You can also retype some symbols that you think would end up as black diamonds with '?'s'. :)
How become Mod?
:o srry cx
Im 13 or older for Ambassador so where do I apply?
Ok
Sammi
Are you there?
So which place to sign up?
Right here https://docs.google.com/forms/d/14kZejqKJuYBxuRCxCjwa-rAUtScOYB6KTlrZDmYLTGM/viewform
another important question :- `Why some people have SS written in CIRCULAR SHAPE and some people have SS written in DIAMOND SHAPE ?`
@sammixboo
Well done on the FAQ Sammi :)!
I have subscribed yolo
This is what a Subscriber sees [on the right]
'You can raise your SmartScore in many different was' Number six...It's *ways. Not a big mistake at all. Still I love it, Sammi
;( I noticed that, but I was too tired to go back and redo it
I would be tired too. We need an edit button badly
Yes! Definitely! I have spotted a few typos, and I hate when I have LaTeX on a post, and I do something wrong and I got to start over :(
I never have a typo. They made a delete button and I tend to use it a lot.
This post has Compassionate, Preetha and Green Cat's curse xD lol
I've seen the Preethers sit on a post for 2 - 3 days before, actually.
lol He is analyzing each step and move @Joel_the_boss
\(\sf \Large \color{red}{Q~\#8~-~Why~do~some~people~have~a~diamond~}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{shaped~SmartScore~and~some~have~a~circle~}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{shaped~SmartScore?}\) \(\sf \Large \color{red}{A~\#8~-}\) There is different meanings behind the circle shaped SmartScore and the diamond shaped SmartScore. Users with a circled SmartScore is user that has not subscribed to OpenStudy, but user with a diamond shaped SmartScore shows that they have subscribed to OpenStudy. What is subscribing and how do you suscribe? Well, subscribing is a way of donating money to OpenStudy. After subscribing, you can get a choice to choose your own name title that appears by your username, have no ads on OpenStudy, and lastly have a diamond shaped SmartScore. You have the access to subscribe to OpenStudy through your settings. Once you have gone into your settings click 'Account Settings', then it will show you your account settings. After that you will see a section that is titled 'Subscription'. Take a look at this screenshot for more info. http://prntscr.com/59jthl
For a second I thought all the replies were deleted.
No xD I had to change something

It seems as if I have accidentally committed the curse. I must research and find the secret.
Nice job @sammixboo , keep it up!
May be use "Problem solved" instead of "Solution Solved" ? (in Second question) . Not sure, am not that strong in Grammar! But, may be "problem solved" will suit better? And yeah, excellent work @Sammixboo !
I think so Dx I was getting tired when I wrote those FAQ's and I have found lot's of mistakes... I might make a repost with Q #7 and Q #8 included with the rest of the questions
I am going to do that
@Compassionate @TheSmartOne Is that the what were going to call them from now on, 'Preethers' xD lol that is hilarious!
