I can't open up that file :( But the formula to find the area of a triangle is \(A~=~\frac{b\times h}{2}\) while b = base and h = height

If you consider the vertical line to be the 'base' - you can easily work out the length of the base from the y values of the 2 endes. Youn then get the height from the 3rd point to the base line, by looking at the x values The area is then base * height /2 |dw:1416757393367:dw|
