(a) Sociologists have found that information spreads among a population at an exponential rate. Suppose that the function y=525(1-e^(-0.038t) ) models the number of people in a town of 525 people who have heard news within t hours of its distribution. How many people will have heard about the opening of a new grocery store within 24 hours of the announcement? [2 marks] When will 90% of the people have heard about the grocery store opening? OpenStudy (abhisar):

You'll probably have to wait, looks like they are busy at the moment.

D; urg okay

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Oh, is it a test ?

OpenStudy (loser66):

just put t= 24 into the expression to get the answer

OpenStudy (loser66):

the last part said that 90% people heard , then take 90% of the previous answer, let it as y2 , put the expression into form y2 = ...........(t2) ,solve for t2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks ....but what about e...i dont know how to deal with it
