Please, I can write your equation as below: \[-\frac{ 1 }{ u-3 }=-\frac{ 1 }{ 4(u-3) }+2\] so the least common multiple is: 4(u-3) and, multiplyng the above equation by 4*(u-3), we get: \[-4=-1+2*4*(u-3)\] \[-3=8u-24\] then: \[8u=21\] finally: \[u=\frac{ 21 }{ 8 }\]
