I think I have an EASY one for somebody tonight!! I'm finding the transition matrix of 2 different bases. The bases are made up of 2x2 matrices of the form [a11, a12] [a21, 0 ] So when I write out my transition matrix do I leave that 0 vector out? Like this: [1 1 1 1 2 3] [1 1 0 1 0 1] [1 0 0 0 0 2] to end up with my transition matrix as: [0 0 2] [1 0 -1] [0 2 2] OR do I leave the columns of 0s in there like this? [1 1 1 0 1 2 3 0] [1 1 0 0 1 0 1 0] [1 0 0 0 0 0 2 0] with my final transition: [0 0 2 0] [1 0 -1 0] [0 2 2 0]
