OpenStudy (piercetheveil47):

can someone help me??

OpenStudy (piercetheveil47):

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Start by finding the volumes of cone and cylinder

OpenStudy (piercetheveil47):

okay, just give me a min :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

take ur time:)

OpenStudy (piercetheveil47):

how do you get the radius when you are given only the height and diameter ? ( i forgot)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

radius = diameter/2

OpenStudy (piercetheveil47):

the cylinder is150.8and the cone is301.59 ? @ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Looks good! so who is big ? what can you conclude about the volumes ?

OpenStudy (piercetheveil47):

The cone is greater, so the 2 volumes are not equal?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

yes but you can do better

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

it seems the volume of cone is twice as large as cylinder ?

OpenStudy (piercetheveil47):

yes, i wrote this : The volume of the cone is greater, so the relationship between the 2 shapes is that they are not equal, the cone is 2times larger than the cylinder.

OpenStudy (piercetheveil47):

:) Thank you

OpenStudy (piercetheveil47):

@ganeshie8

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Looks good, also show ur work for volumes
