Find the magnitude of the following vector. U = 8i + 15j

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Magnitude is same as the length

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know... so would i just take the sqrt 8^2+15^2

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Correct!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if its asking for the magnitude... would i place the formula or get a decimal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know it sounds like a silly question. but usually it tell me how to place the answer.. whether or not to round it off.... and this time it asks as if it is suppose to come with the sqrt

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

it seems the 8^2+15^2 is a perfect square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh forget it i had written down the problem incorrectly... today i am just not doing well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

however, if u dont mind, i need help with someother problems

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
