How many paperclips out of 20 can a strong magnet hold with paper between the paperclip and magnet?

How many paperclips out of 20 can a strong magnet hold with a wooden ruler between the paperclip and magnet hold?

How many paperclips out of 20 can a plastic bottle with water and the paperclips inside it with the magnet in the water hold? (like the water bottle has water in it and also has the paper clips in it then put the magnet in the water and how many can it hold, or can it even hold any?
