A scientist recorded the growth of a plant over time. He used the data to make the graph below. Which equation represents the situation? A. y = 1.5x - 2 B. y = 1.5x + 2 C. y = 2x - 1.5 D. y = 2x + 1.5
Okay so first, we need to figure out what the y-intercept is..........can you guess what that is? *hint hint* where the line goes through the y axis when x is 0........
Oh.
I'm terrible at these....
lol I'll help....can you figure it out??? lol
No. I'm in kind of a rush at the moment...
oh....okay so since m=rise/run, 3 is rise, 2 is run, so it will be 3/2 which is also equal to 1.5 so the final answer is: y=1.5x+2
anything else?
Yeah hold on...
Juan always saves the same amount from his weekly allowance. The table shows how much he has saved at different times. How much will Juan have saved in 14 wk? Juan’s Savings Weeks 3 6 9 12 Amount saved 19 28 37 46
Question marks=apostrophe
okay....one second.....are you supposed to find slope-intercept form for this?
No, just how much he saved.
Is it multiple choice?
No.
oh........okay so since the slope (you need slope to figure this out anyways) is 9/3, we can simplify that to find how much it goes up per week.....so it goes up 3 per week so if we multiply that by 2 (for 2 weeks) and add that to week 12, we get 52 as the final answer :)
You are a lifesaver. :D
lol just ask me if you ever need more help :P I kinda love math haha
