The system of equations is inconsistent. What are the missing values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

an inconsistent system of equations will be parallel. They will have the same slopes, but different y intercepts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 2/3

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

inconsistent means there is no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confused can you just help me with the question

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I am having trouble with your question because x + 3 is not an equation because there is no equal sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is the full equation

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

y = 2/3x + 3......the slope here is 2/3. An inconsistent equation would contain the same slope but different y intercepts. So it could be : y = 2/3x + (any number that is different then 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you again

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

anytime :)
