.The sets of numbers 6, 8, 10 and 5, 12, 13 are Pythagorean triples. Use what you know about the Pythagorean Theorem and explain or show why they are Pythagorean triples. Be sure to show your work for each set of triples! I don't get this one, can someone explain it to me

The pythagorean theorem says that for a right triangle \[a ^{2}+b ^{2}=c ^{2}\] where c is the hypoteneuse and a & b are the other 2 sides. A pythagorean triple just means that these three numbers fit together in the pythagorean theorem. For example, 3, 4, and 5 are a pythagorean triple because 3^2+4^2=5^2 Pythagorean triples are handy to know because they'll save you calculation work.
