For the 2nd one, we can also substitute -3x for y into the 2nd equation.

$3x + 2y = 6$

$3x + 2(-3x) = 6$

Multiply:

$3x - 6x = 6$

Subtract:

$-3x = 6$

Divide -3 to both sides.
