Describe the role of plants in the water and carbon cycles
Role In Carbon cycle: Plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen through photosynthesis. They're a huge part in keeping our air as clean as it can possibly be with recent pollution Role in Water cycle: PLants absorb the water from the soil (through their roots) and then release it back into the atmosphere by transpiration (evaporation from the leaves). You should know what happens after that...The water in the atmosphere condenses to form clouds, then rain falls, returning the water to the soil, and the cycle goes on... plants absorb ground water through their roots. then, the water evaporates through transpiration and goes to the atmosphere which then rises, cools down, and become clouds. this is called condensation. then the water vapour cools down and cloud moisture is realeased as precipitaion ( eg- rain, snow, hail etc).
Hope this helps.
