If an organism’s haploid number is 5, its diploid number is what?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hey there ! Welcome to OpenStudy :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Haploid means one set of chromosome while diploid means two sets.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

So diploid is just double of haploid.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I remember because the prefix of diploid is di- which means 2, and haploid starts with ha which are the same two starting letters as half. Therefore haploid is half of diploid, and diploid is 2x haploid
