"Most bad government has grown out of too much government."-Thomas Jefferson In at least two paragraphs, discuss the meaning of this quote in relation to one of the following principles: limited government, natural rights, separation of powers, or checks and balances.
Well first of all, this means that government was to powerful and in powerful government you often find bad government. The separation of powers is good because each branch has an equal amount of power and each branch controls each other so there is never to much power. This limits the power making government not as strong and giving the states some power to decide certain things. Citizens are let to have their natural rights and are protected under the law by the amendments. If power is given all to one branch then they will become to powerful, when branches make a law it has to be passed by the other branches and has to be made sure it is good. The states power provides them with the power to choose states governors and pass their own laws as long as it does not interfere or object the laws of the government.
i hope this helps i wrote the 2 paragraphs but i was wondering if perhaps you would mind giving me a medal?
