I really need help because I have been stuck on this forever and can't figure it out. The instructions are to find indicated sums and differences, and also find the LCD.

Nnesha (nnesha):

do you know about LCM???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, but my schoolwork wants the LCD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Those are the same :D LCD is just the LCM of numbers which all happen to be denominators ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So... 2, 3, and 4. What's their least common multiple?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so thats the denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how do i find the numerator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x + 4y - 3z is the answer, but how do I get that from x + y - z?

Nnesha (nnesha):

ok so your den, is 12 right |dw:1417008209364:dw| so 2 times 6 is 12 then you have to multiply numerator by 6
