An earthworm of length 15cm is crawling along at 2cm/s. An ant overtakes the worm in 5seconds. How fast is the ant walking?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2(cm/s)X5(seconds)=10cm (total length of the earthworm after walking for 5 seconds) 10cm+15(length of the worm)=25cm (total length that the ant needs to walk) 25cm/5s=5cm/s(the speed of the ant)
