help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which statement describes the relationship between the deer and the bear on the food web? Autotrophs supply food for the heterotrophs. Heterotrophs compete for the same food source. Autotrophs and heterotrophs share the same food source. Heterotrophs supply food for the autotrophs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think A but i also think it's B but i'm leaning more to A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lovelylolita55 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im thining a or b but more a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what i was thinking but not sure...

OpenStudy (sreekar369):

hey it option a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you understand what autotrophs and heterotrophs are?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really but can you explain it cause i want to understand them pleaes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok sure

OpenStudy (sreekar369):

auto trophs make their own food heterotrophs depend on autotrophs

OpenStudy (sreekar369):

@shinebrightlikeadimon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so it's like photosynthesis for autotrphs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Autotrophs have the ability to make their own food. Plants, algae, and some bacteria are autotrophs. Heterotrophs do not have the ability to make their own food. They consume other organisms for energy. Herbivores, omnivores, carnivores are heterotrophs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so it's like plants, algae are autotrophs and then animals/ human for heterotrophs (just wanna make sure)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example, autotrophs can create organic substances to provide themselves energy by using carbon dioxide to create food.

OpenStudy (sreekar369):

u r right @shinebrightlikeadimon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, that's right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I just want to make sure i'm understanding let me read the question again and see what i think now that i comprehend it a little further

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, go for it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I think it's B because the autotrophs isn't supplying anything, it's supplying for itself to grow and eat and it just so happens that the bear and deer survive of the plants so i'm kind of leaning towards B now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, think about it. Deers are herbivores. Bears are omnivores. Deers only eat plants..so are the autotrophs not supplying the deer with food?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yes they are so it's more A see this is why I was stuck on A and B but now that you said that I think it A lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's A. too. Good job!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm going to do the same thing as last time so both of you get medals so when i tag you @sreekar369 reply on that post so you get a medal too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for the metal!
