OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is chemoeautotrops ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

an organism, typically a bacterium, which derives energy from the oxidation of inorganic compounds.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are organisms that obtain energy by the oxidation of electron donors in their environments

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The definition from the source below is absolutely correct. To put it in "plain English" chemoautotrophs are organism (life-forms) usually made of only one cell, that can create their own "food" (for lack of a better word) from inorganic material around them, without using sunlight. Many of the single-cell creatures living near underwater volcanoes are examples - they make everything a cell needs to survive out of the chemicals coming out of the volcano. They don't use photosynthesis (like plants) or digest other animals or decaying material. Source(s): The dictionary definition: http://www.daviddarling.info/encyclopedi... Sources from internet

so the answer for this question would be D according to your definition @sikinder

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically, a chemoeautotroph is an organism that uses inorganic substances (like carbon dioxide) to create energy. Chemoeautotrophs usually live in deep sea vents.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do chemoautotrophs make energy? They covert carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight into carbohydrates. They convert carbon dioxide, water, and organic molecules to carbohydrates. They convert carbon dioxide, sunlight, and organic molecules to carbohydrates. They convert carbon dioxide, water, and inorganic compounds into carbohydrates.
