how could i practice power clean/jerk and deadlift if i dont have a bar or weights at home? what could help me get used to this technique or help me improve strength?

@jabez177

OpenStudy (catlover5925):

in my opinion I would use like empty milk cartons and fill them with water that's what I do for deadlifts but not sure about power cleans

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i havent got to where i needed yet its all my upper body strength and technique like i had to use a 35 lb. bar with weights today and i need to get myself to be able to do 65 instead of 55

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and how do you use that for deadlifts like idk thats lighter than 45

OpenStudy (catlover5925):

oh I didn't know how much you needed to do, I would say go to ur local gym, im not sure just practice more and you will get better, trust me I practice light to bulid muscle and it still helps so I can lift a lot more weight, the more weight you put on the bar doent make you stronger. I squat 200lb but I practice with like 100

OpenStudy (catlover5925):

a good goal to reach is squat double ur weight, bench and clean ur weight, that's what my weight teacher says

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i dont have a gym membership so yeah my only access is the weight room at school. but i mean what could help me build that strength to being able to pull it up to my chest idk . and yeah it could go both ways like you can either go slow or be sore and use heavier weight

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well mine told me to tricep extend more or bigger weight

OpenStudy (catlover5925):

being sore isn't necessarily good because you can tear muscles, cleans to help you get it to ur chest you need to flick it up hard as you squat and stomp , let me see if I can find an example for you I was told the harder you stomp the more it helps to get it to your chest. I was also the lower you go when you throw the weight up helps here is a video but I cant find one where they do what I do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bc-0lFV1KWQ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just really need upper body strength

OpenStudy (catlover5925):

ok a good exercise is bench or pushup, or pullups are my fav, just google ideas to see what you can get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ive tried but idk like what is an easy object that is 45-55 lbs?
