Sean wants to know what kind of metal a model soldier is made of. He decides to calculate its density. In order to calculate the density of the model soldier, Sean needs to find out its mass and volume. Sean measures its mass to be 138.3 grams using a triple beam balance. Next, he fills a graduated cylinder with 50 mL of water. He drops the model soldier into the water. With the soldier in it, the graduated cylinder reads 62.2 mL. What is the volume of the model soldier?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The final volume of the model is 62.2mL, and the initial volume is 50mL. This means that the difference between the two volumes is the volume of the model. Therefore 62.2mL-50mL is the volume of the model
