Find the range of possible lengths for the third side of the triangle. ( 8 ft, 12 ft )

OpenStudy (kamibug):

The Triangle Inequality Theorem states that the sum of any 2 sides of a triangle must be greater than the measure of the third side. Therefore, if 8+12=20, that means that the third side must be less than 20. If "x" represents the third side you can write this as the inequality x<20.
