OpenStudy (campbell_st):

this is the unitary method start by adding the parts is the ratio 1 + 2 = ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

when you get an answer to the number of parts... take the total of 15 and divide it by your answer... this will be the value of 1 part of the ratio. then Gemma gets 1 x value of 1 part Zac gets 2 x the value of 1 part hope it makes sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lets say the value is x; the ratio 1:2 gets divided as x,2x. Now if you add both x and 2x the sum is equal to 15. then you have x. By substituting, you get the shares. Hope you understand

3x=15 X=?
