Micheal decides to make French Toast. He finds a recipe that calls for the following ingredients: 8 slices of bread 4 eggs 1 cup of milk 1teaspoon of cinnamon a. How much egg is used for each slice of bread. Write your answer as a comparison statement
1/2 an egg!
because if you have eight peices of bread and you give each piece an equal amount of egg, you give each one 1/2 an egg!
8 pieces of bread, 4 eggs. 0.5 eggs per piece of bread. make sense?
can u explain @EmmaMink
yes @LoveLilly
Ok. 4 divided by 8 is 0.5, converted into a fraction is 1/2.

@LoveLilly
Adios until next time!
Whats up? Whats your next question?
b. How much milk is used for each slice of bread? Write your answer as a comparison statement.
?
One cup of milk, and 8 slices of bread. Right? So each piece of bread will have to have an eighth cup of milk on it, or 0.125 cups of milk.
Make sense?
yeah thx
and 1 more sorry i really appreciate ur help
No bother.... :) I like helping whats the last question?
c. Michael makes a single recipe and shares the food equally among himself and his four family members. How much French toast does each person recieve?
sorry it took so long my internet connection went out
Its okay, mine did too :0... Okay so there are 8 pieces of bread, and if there is him and four other people, that five people. So they would each get 1.6 pieces of bread, because that is 8 divided by 5
oh ok
wait but it says how much french toast does each person recieve @LoveLilly
Yeah, so they each get one full piece and a 0.6 of a piece as well. Because 8 doesn't go into 5 evenly. So if they split it equally, they would get 1.6 pieces, and then all of the bread out be gone.
ok thx
No problem, so it all makes sense? Because I can explain it a different way if you want
ok sure i would really appreciate it if u want to but im sure ur tired right @LoveLilly
No, it okay! :) I can reexplain it. No worries. Is it the last question that is still confusing you?
yeah kind of
so yeah explain
