Synthetic division n stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 9 as the remainder

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9/(x+3)

OpenStudy (freckles):

I'm getting a different remainder

OpenStudy (freckles):

also of those remainders are different so you could just plug in -3 into the top function

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[2(-3)^4-(-3)^3-15(-3)^2+3(-3)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The issue is is when I did that I got 72

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[2(-3)^4-(-3)^3-15(-3)^2+3(-3) \\ 2(81)+27-135-9=?\]

OpenStudy (freckles):

shouldn't get 72

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, checking my math I have -2(3)^3 instead of -(-3)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

45

OpenStudy (freckles):

:)
