basically, if you look GEF is a triangle. The base of the triangle is 6. DAF is also a triangle. from A to E it is 6 cm. Triangle DAF is a bigger triangle than GEF so the base adds to 12. Therefore, you do 12÷6 to get a scale factor of 2. So, you times 4 by 2 to get 8 as the height (AD).
