A real number is pretty much any number you can think of.
\(1, 2, 3.4, \pi,\sqrt{2},\pi+\sqrt{2}+4.5,\frac{2}{3}, 0.6666666666\overset{-}{6}*\pi*\pi\)

just to name a few.
