So I'm helping out my cousin with writing her own declaration of independence and the topic that she chose was dress code. Basically her dress code is a solid color collared shirt, solid colored pants/skirt/shorts and normal shoes so can you give me like a format that she can go by? There's the preamble, the declaration of student rights, the list of complaints/greviances, the statements of prior atttempts to redress grievances and resolution of independence. Thanks!
well, at least at my school, solid colors promote gang violence, but you might be in a better neighborhood. anyway, just have her look at the original one. they have their philosophy at the top, the problems they are trying to address in the middle, and what they are immediately doing at the end. hope this helps.
here's a link http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/declaration_transcript.html
also, a clear definition of normal shoes? open toed, close toed? colors, brands, that sort of thing. leave no loopholes or room for argument or the students will abuse it
they're allowed to wear any color shoes but it has to be close toed plus they're allowed to wear heels but it as to be 2 inches and below.
ok, makes sense
also, a good idea would be to assign traffic laws such as lanes and maybe even stoplights at intersections to prevent the halls from going into too much chaos
it might sound silly, but it would definitely help.
if that helps, medal me
