Active learning is a strategy that allows students to engage in the material taught, where they learn their material through reading, discussing, writing and reflecting. Its the opposite of passive learning which is where the teachers do most of the talking and students just listen passively. Active learning is quite the opposite because the students are involved in the learning process of the instruction.

And I didn't quite understand what you meant by 3 examples of survey. can you please make the question more specific.

3 example of surveys for active learning 1.supervised learning-is the machine learning task of inferring a function from labeled training data, where each example consist of training examples of input object and output value. 2. unsupervised learning- refere's to the problem of trying to find hidden structures in unlabled task. 3. semi-supervised learning- is a class of machine learning a technique that make use of bothe labled and unlabeled data for training.
