trig: can someone explain to me how pi/2 is the coterminal of 5pi/2??

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

to find the coterminal angle of a given angle, you add or subtract 2pi (2pi radians = 360 degrees) let's add 2pi to pi/2 pi/2 + 2pi pi/2 + 4pi/2 (pi + 4pi)/2 5pi/2 so the two angles pi/2 and 5pi/2 are coterminal. This means they point in the same exact direction: directly north
