Mitosis does NOT occur in which of these types of cells? Answer plants animals bacteria fungi 3 points Question 2 How many parents are necessary for asexual reproduction to occur? Answer 1 2 3 4 3 points Question 3 Which of these cell division processes results in cells that are NOT exact genetic copies of each other? Answer binary fission meiosis mitosis none of the above
@Joel_the_boss
Mitosis requires mitotic apparatus consisting of achromatic fibers, which you don't find in bacteria. So none of the above would be your choice. I know its none of the above because human cells go threw mitosis as do plant cells. Binary fission is the primary method of reproduction of prokaryotic organisms. In protists, binary fission is often differentiated into types, such as transverse or longitudinal, depending on the axis of cell separation. So D would be the only logical choice.
what about q2 and 3?
2.) Asexual reproduction is a mode of reproduction by which offspring arise from a single organism, and inherit the genes of that parent only; it is reproduction which almost never involves ploidy or reduction. So it is 1. 3.) Sexual cells undergo meiosis and there are over 1 million ways that the cells can turn out when they undergo meiosis. So the answer would be B. :)
