true or false Two lines that are perpendicular to each other form 4 right angles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True. As you can see here this is 2 perpendicular lines, and they form 4 right angles (90 degree angles) |dw:1417372819747:dw|

But it could also be false...|dw:1417373847372:dw| These lines are also perpendicular but do not form 4 right angles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

True, but they can it really depends on how you look at it. It doesn't say - Two lines that are perpendicular to each other ALWAYS form 4 right angles. It says - Two lines that are perpendicular to each other form 4 right angles. Which can be true there is a huge difference and that's why I thought it was true. A more accurate answer to the question would be sometimes, but that isn't a option, between the two true is better.

I understand what you are saying but I was wondering if that was the exact statement and if not, that the answer also has the possibility of being false.

Just so you guys know. the correct answer was True. I got it right on the quiz. :)

@kballet084 I'm glad you got it right.
