-8c -9< -17 check answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be -1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did -8c -9< -17 -9 -9

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

You need the full inequality to let us check

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

hint: when you divide by a negative, you flip the sign

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Because what if you get the sign wrong???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah and then i got -8c=8

sammixboo (sammixboo):

First add 9 on both sides, not subtract. You are doing the opposite. -8c -9 + 9 < -17 + 9 -8c = -17 + 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then its < -1
