The table below represents a linear function f(x) and the equation represents a function g(x): x f(x) -1 -5 0 -1 1 3 g(x) g(x) = 4x + 3 Part A: Write a sentence to compare the slope of the two functions and show the steps you used to determine the slope of f(x) and g(x). (6 points) Part B: Which function has a greater y-intercept? Justify your answer. (4 points)

Nnesha (nnesha):

do you know how to find slope ???

Nnesha (nnesha):

if you don't know its ok just let me know :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorta

Nnesha (nnesha):

ok so slope formula is \[m = \frac{ y _{2} - y _{1}}{ x _{2}- x _{1}}\] so now use x and y values which are in the table and plug m in then solve

i dont understand what numbers to use..

Nnesha (nnesha):

can you post your table again bec i really not understand which suppose to be x and which f(X)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x f(x) -1 -5 0 -1 1 3

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1417379681507:dw| now plug into the formula
