@Haichi @CausticSyndicalist @Kit_Kat_Nat_<3 @sleepyjess
@freckles @sleepyhead314 @satellite73 @s0ph666 @drdoedr @ganeshie8
Whilst I am supremely flattered :P I don't really think I can handle such a responsibility at a time like this.
:P
only mods can decide who gets to be mods :P if anything they can have a better chance if they work to be ambassadors first :)
^
but im not 18 yet
^ that too
i apply for a ambassadors and one of them say they didnt get it i did it like 5 times
I'm not 18 yet either soo cx
i am eligible for ambi though

I heard applying for ambassador is rather complex and requires a lot of information to input :P

ikr
also you guys should make officers
officers? huh?
you kown like police where they can warn adn sup and ban or mute
See? Looking at this form, it's rather elaborate... and privacy-invading. :P
ikrr ^
that's a mods job bohotness :P
sorry i mean like mute
In the last set of applications, 90% of the people that were not picked fell into one of two categories: 1) They applied when they had been on the site less than 45 days and in those 45 days they had not been active every day, so there was no real history to check. We like people to be on more like 3 months + with a clear history. 2) They never sent in a valid form of ID, even with the substitute forms allowed. Oh, and if you want to be a mod, you also have to send in ID these days. So if you are an Ambi first, that will be taken care of in advance.
@CausticSyndicalist It is not privacy invading. It is a voluntary application. It would be privacy invading if it was mandatory for all users. Being an Ambassador means being put into a business training program and doing a form of internship. Under business law, they simply must know who their interns are. There is no way around it. So for legal compliance, they have to identify people properly.
Ah okay. Thanks for explaining it, @e.mccormick
The shortest path to mod was a former professor, they were one in a month. Just about all mods have been on for a year before they were made one or had a very easy to identify identity that could be verified and showed responsibility. Suggesting anyone that has only been on a few months and does not meet those criteria is a waste of effort. They won't even get considered.
Yesh, @bohotness , I would love to be an ambi but I haven't been on long enough CX I am flattered though :3
Only mods can nominate other people to be a mod. And if another mod wants to he can veto it and that user will loose their chance of becoming a mod. Also the mod has to be 18+. They will do a bckground check on the user for sure. Also you should be very helpful and noticed to have a better chance at becoming mod.
