Allowing homosexual, bisexual etc to get married would support the human rights and prevent crimes against the human rights to happen which would lead to a more equal society. Also, it would hopefully destroy the heterosexism there is in todays society. If the US goverment decided to allow homosexual marrige in all states; it's not entirerly impossible that they'll go after countries who still kills not heterosexual humans. It could in other words lead to war.
