OpenStudy (anonymous):

The vagina is a fibromuscular tubular sex organ that is part of the female genital tract.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

The vagina is a large, median, elastic, muscular tube about 7.5 cm long. It extends forward and downwards, and opens out at its lower end into the vestibule by \(\bf Vaginal~Orifice\). Its lining is thrown into transverse folds, the \(\bf vaginal~rugae\), but becomes smoother after first delivery. The space between the vaginal wall and the cervix is called \(\bf fornix\). The vagina is adapted for (i) Recieving the male's external genitalia during copulation. (ii) Allowing menstrual flow (iii) Serving as the birth canal during parturirtion.
