How do you solve this? (2x^3 y^2 + x^2 y^2 -4) - (3x^2 y^3 - 6)? I got 2x^3 y^2-3x^2 y^3 + x^2 y^2 +2. Not sure if it's right..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remove those pitiful paranthasees and group like factors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they want to be friends,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so (2x^3y^2-3x^2^3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do I add the exponents when I combine like terms?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theres 1 piece, and you can remove x^2^y^2 from both

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2y^2(2x-y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is a little confusing to read double check what i do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

things can get bundled up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I can cancel out the x^2 y^2 from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6-4 is -10 so you have that 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 sec let me get a piece of paper to write this on, this stuff is more of my high school liking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so far i havex^2y^2(2x-3y)+x^2y^2+2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill journey on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it was right o.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you for the help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no probs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is more of the harder stuff i've seen on this website, everything else is like middle school level

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol I'm surprised....can't wait to get out of math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This has nothing to do with what I'm going to do with my future...
