The gamer section will be misused like the Music section. And then when mods have to calm it down those users will revolt. Which will all lead to them being banned if it is very extreme.

As @sammixboo said, that would be spam central. I doubt even if enough users agreed to it, the owners wouldn't allow it. To risky. It's enough with you guys in the Math chat, I couldn't imagine you guys with a 'Gamers' Subject.

There will always be people who agree and disagree with certain ideas. In this case, I think the cons would outdo the pros. Gaming is more of a entertainment.

Exactly Gaming is more of entertainment and has no education relatement. Unless you were to talk about how to code the games in there or talk about what material and equipment is needed to make a console and stuff like that but then again that falls in Comp. Science
