Can you work this problem out? I already know the right answer I just need to see how it was solved;; What are the x- and y-intercepts of the line? 2x – 3y = 12 Right answer: x-intercept 6, y-intercept –4

OpenStudy (phi):

the "x-intercept" is where the line crosses the x-axis. the y value is always 0 when you are on the x-axis. so, to find the x-intercept. replace y with 0 in your equation and solve for x 2x – 3y = 12 can you replace "y" with 0 , and write down the new equation?
