New phase
New place
New faces
New heartbreaks

Recluse, misanthrope
Solitary, introvert
Cynic, loner
Whatever you call it
That's me

Criticism hurts
Silence hurts
Even my own noise hurts
Every kind of sound hurts

I hear my own footsteps
Along the lonely hallway
Staring down the floor
Avoiding every cold eyes
Pretending to be invisible

Living in a shell
Afraid to see the light
Darkness surrounds me
How long will this last?

I closed my eyes
As each teardrops falls
No one wants to listen
I am but a lonely soul
No one's there to call

I tried to scream
But my echo's there to mock
Another silence...
Silence that is tearing me apart

Turning up the music
To hear other voices
Hoping they will keep me from sanity
But they serve as daggers
Piercing through my body

I accepted my fate
No need to smile and be polite
No need to be sincere and consistent
No need to be rational or smart
No need to appear at all.

Being alone

personality i think it has a lot of potential but it needs some work. Now i could tell which parts were repetitive on purpose but there were some phrases that seemed kind of repetitive and it was unneed. i also thought that some of the stuff you said ive heard in a million other poems. I think all poets have written some of that because i know i have and others have too. i also felt like it didnt flow very well. i typically like poems to have a little rythem or beat to them.


Now poetry is something for yourself and if you think its perfect then its perfect. i just know that when i post a poem i dont get a lot of critics but when i do it makes my day because it just makes me improve. I'm not saying any of this in a mean way i promise because your actually a very good poet. We all need a little improvement so i hope this helps. And like i said before poetry is about you and if you think that its perfect then its perfect.
