let f(x)=2^x - 4x+1 then f(0)*f(1)<0 so a real root of the given equation lies in between 0 and 1. Then apply any method of numerical analysis.
Yeah I solved the problem that way but my professor asks for the use of logarithms and or ln/e. Thank you for the reply though
