The measures of three sides of a triangle are consecutive odd integers. The perimeter of the triangle is 57. What are the measures of the three sides? One point for the equation and one point for the solution.

What we know so far: Perimeter is 57 Sides of triangle are consecutive odd integers

x+(x+1)+(x+2)=57 3x=54 x=18 18, 19, 20 is your answer

"The measures of three sides of a triangle are Consecutive ODD Integers."

19,21,23?

Oops, missed that detail, thanks @NeoKazuya

x+(x+2)+(x+4)=57 3x=51 x=17 Answer: 17, 19, 21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would -5 points for the equation and 10 for the solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

three consecutive odd numbers that add to 57 i guess 21,23,25 but that is too large because they total 69 bet i get it on the second try it is annoying that you have to solve an equation when a simple experiment will do
