A rectangular park has an area of 118.08 km2 and a width of 9.6 km. What is the length of the park?

OpenStudy (catlover5925):

12.3 = length

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

\[A=l \cdot w\]

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Sorry, I meant, @Catlover5925 do not give answers without explanations. I just woke up Haha.

OpenStudy (catlover5925):

sorry but to find it you take 118.08 and divide it by the side you already have

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

So if the area = \(\sf 118.02 ~\text{km}^2\) , \(w =~\text{width} = 9.6 ~\text{km}\) Then plug in your values to find the length. \[l=\frac{A}{w}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you @Jhannybean and @Catlover5925 i appreciate you working it out with me
