What is this? I am restless I dont know why But, I feel no interest Just force a smile upon What is this? I see no color But, I am not blind Oh, I see, the world is black No love, no affection What is this? This emptiness I never felt before, or I did but chose to ignore And live a life of mere glass that can shatter Shatter at the slightest touch What is this? I am breathless As if someone is following me Or is it that I want to catch someone How do people smile so easily? Live so freely Will they answer me? If I ask The reason for life to be bestowed upon us What is this? I feel alone, separated, anxious I am scared I want to live No perhaps I dont Yes No matter where I search Whom I ask They give no reply What is this? I am eager I want someone to share my feelings with I searched here and there Tried to open up to many But ended up hurt What is this? Ah! I see, perhaps end Searching for someone I came across this question Why is life bestowed upon us? I am alone I want someone I call out will all my might But no one listens I am tired I will just live like others Yeah What is this? In the end I give up That someone I want to share my feelings, myself with Is no where Oh! I give up I am really afraid Scared I am as if bond by invisible chains of Of what Hatred, love, anger? No perhaps emptiness What is this? I am alone In this darkness days pass But no one comes Please come Someone I want to open up Share I can no longer live alone Why Why is life in the first place? I dont want jealousy to devourer me Please I am alone What is this? I feel attracted to someone or Perhaps I am forcing myself to be attracted Wanting to live on imaginary lies Yes Lies All are lies This life is itself Having no reason to exist Is there an afterlife A happy one Where I can find someone to open up If there is I wish to die Oh! God forgive me But I can no longer Handle these injuries, pain, and suffering Not anymore I am gradually giving up On the believe on the very existence of happiness But, Please, if my angel exists let my voice My hearts reaches you and find me Before I am devoured by this darkness
Thats it it is good

As the storm receded into the distance, even the farm animals seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. The horses in the pasture ceased their nervous whinnying, and the cows went back to serenely chewing the grass. The winds that minutes ago had whipped across the plains now barely disturbed the fields. 1. Which word in the passage above helps convey a peaceful tone? serenely whipped chewing whinnying

As the graduation procession wound its way toward the auditorium, Melanie stood tall among her classmates. What with holding down two after-school jobs this past year, she had barely had enough time to study. Now, as the row of students marched along, all those late nights and early mornings of studying seemed totally worth it. Her diploma was just minutes from being in her hand. Imagining that moment, with her parents there to see it, Melanie was positively beaming inside. As the students entered the hall and began to take their seats, Melanie drank in every bit of the applause. This was her day, and no one would ever take it away from her. 2. The overall tone this passage evokes is one of secrecy. pride. outrage. confusion.
early mornings of studying seemed totally worth it= pride. Melanie drank in every bit of the applause=pride
(1) Standing at 29,029 feet in the air, Mount Everest is located in the Himalayas between Nepal and China. For many adventurers, climbing Mount Everest is the greatest feat that can be achieved in the world. It is a dangerous climb, and many people have died in the attempt. But for the people who succeed, the chance to actually stand on top of the world is well worth the risk. (2) In 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first people in recorded history to stand on top of Everest. It took them over two months from the time they set up base camp, but on May 29, they reached the summit. After they got back, people wanted to know which one of them had been the first one to the top. They told people that they both had been the first to reach the top because it had been a team effort. After a few years, though, Tenzing Norgay said that it was Hillary that had stood on the top first. He added, “If it is a shame to be the second man on Mount Everest, then I will have to live with this shame.” (3) Many others have since followed in the footsteps of Hillary and Norgay. To date, more than 1,300 climbers have completed the climb. While it is still an amazing feat to climb Everest, it has become easier due to advancements in climbing equipment and better knowledge of how to climb it. A 13-year-old American climber reached the top in 2010. In 2008, a 76-year-old man from Nepal reached the summit. (4) However, Mount Everest has also been the site of much tragedy. On May 10, 1996, eight climbers died on Everest trying to climb down in a blizzard. That year, fifteen people died on Everest, the most in any year on Mount Everest. People can freeze outside or suffer from a lack of oxygen. (5) In the end, Hillary and Norgay spent only about 15 minutes on the summit of Everest. To some, risking one’s life and spending two months on a mountain is too great a cost for getting a scenic view for only 15 minutes. Others, however, point to the fact that Hillary’s and Norgay’s names will live on for centuries and think that is worth the risk. As Sir Edmund Hillary might tell you, “nothing ventured, nothing gained.” 3. Which of the following sentences should be added to the beginning of paragraph 1? The highest point of land elevation on Earth is the summit of Mount Everest. Edmund Hillary was the first person to climb Mount Everest, but he wouldn't have made it without Tenzing Norgay. Sir Edmund Hillary, from New Zealand, became the first person to climb the summit of Mount Everest. There are many wonderful attractions to visit in Nepal, but the most popular is Mount Everest.

Climbing Mount Everest (1) Standing at 29,029 feet in the air, Mount Everest is located in the Himalayas between Nepal and China. As Sir Edmund Hillary might tell you, “nothing ventured, nothing gained.” 4. Which of the following sentences would best conclude paragraph 2? When they reached the top, Norgay planted the flags of New Zealand and Nepal, representing the home countries of both Hillary and Norgay. Even though they reached the top first, some people thought that it should not count because they used oxygen tanks. Indeed, the expedition of Hillary and Norgay would prove to be one of the most incredible feats in the 20th century. There are no photographs of Hillary on the summit because Norgay did not know how to operate a camera. same paragraph

(1) Derek's parents said he could have a cell phone. (2) He promised eagerly he would be responsible with his minutes. (3) Derek started talking nonstop on his phone. (4) Derek's parents met with him to talk about his bill. (5) He went over his plan by 100 minutes! 5. After he had the phone for one month. What is the best way to add the dependent clause above to sentence 4? After Derek's parents met with him he had the phone for one month to talk about his bill. Derek's parents met with him after he had the phone, to talk about his bill for one month. After he had the phone for one month, Derek's parents met with him to talk about his bill. He had the phone to talk about his bill after Derek's parents met with him for one month.
