OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

am i understanding this right? 1. Present counter point A : 2. Refute counter point A So first i present a counterpoint ( which would be why others might think different ) and then refute it?

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

and as in refute : i support my claim again?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry... I do not understand the question :/

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

I just want to make sure if i'm understanding/doing this correctly... • My claim : Brutus is a patriot • so for 1. it says to present a counterpoint A. ; in example : It may seem that Brutus is a betrayer because he was once good friends with Caesar. then for 2. it says refute your counterpoint A. ; in example : However, Brutus is a patriot because he saved Rome from future corruption.

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

does that make sense ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you supposed to submit that as some sort of an essay? :P

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

it's apart of it, i just want to make sure i'm understanding the counterclaim's and refuting part before i go on...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So basically... Say a fact, and then add more evidence to the fact?

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

nevermind ;_;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry :/ I really don't understand

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

its okk

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

@Secret-Ninja ?

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

I think that you have to support both sides of the debate as if you were two different people expressing their opinions. You should first be one person then go against them as if to overrule what they previously stated. I would be wrong, but it seems like what its asking. I hope this helps. :)

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

thank you c:

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

No problem. :)

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

so this is my final : 1. Present counter point A : It may seem that Brutus is a betrayer because he was once good friends with Caesar. 2. Refute counter point A : When in fact Brutus suddenly noticed the corruption in Caesar, he choose to put his feelings away and do what was best for the country. does it sound okay? ;o

OpenStudy (secret-ninja):

Yep. Just make sure to clarify so there is no confusion. Maybe for A you should add "It may seem that Brutus is a betrayer because he was once good friends with Caesar, \(\normalsize\sf\ {but~is~not.}\) "

OpenStudy (kaylaprincess):

perfect! thank you so much !!!!!!!!
