Find the value of x. Picture inside

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I got tan30=x/10.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and tan30= √3/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\tan30=\sqrt{3}/3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So \[\sqrt{3}/3= x/10.2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I don't know how to solve it further

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

ok so u have tan30 degree= x/10.2 refer this https://www.google.com/#q=what+is+tan+of+30+degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No tan30= √3/3 Because it is 30-60-90 triangle. tan=opposite/hypotenuse tan=1/√3 which is √3/3

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

tan=opp/adj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I typed that wrong. But if you look at 30-60-90 triangle sides, the hypotenuse =2 a=1, and b= √2

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

|dw:1417541390921:dw| idk what the 30-60-90 is but i got 5.88 or 6 btw do u have options?
